MP of the Party of Action and Solidarity Galina Sajin decided to quit as an MP. A draft decision on the MP’s resignation is to be examined by Parliament on Thursday, IPN reports.
The MEPs are expected to take note of Galina Sajin’s resignation and declare her parliamentary seat vacant.
For the first time, Galina Sajin was elected MP in the mixed parliamentary elections of 2019, in single-member constituency No.50: West of the Republic of Moldova. She ran on behalf of the ACUM DA PAS Electoral Bloc. A journalist by profession, Galina Sajin had lived in Italy for almost 15 years, but returned to Moldova. She was reelected in the early parliamentary elections of 2021.
The next substitute candidate on the PAS’ lists is Iurie Melinte, a teacher by profession.
