Gaik Vartanean: If someone breaks the law, they should answer for this

Socialist MP Gaik Vartanean said the main task of the current parliamentary majority is to restore the public perception that if someone breaks the law, they should answer for this. In this connection, MP of the Bloc ACUM Vladimir Bolea said the dismissals at public institutions will continue, will not stop at chiefs and will also cover those who do not obey the law. The issue was developed in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel, IPN reports.

“The former government should understand that the managers who leave the institutions or the country will not avoid criminal and administrative responsibility. I think the Democratic Party, in its current composition, in general does not have the moral right to take part in elections and to hold state posts in the future,” stated Gaik Vartanean.

He noted the foreign functionaries and diplomats are very optimistic about the “interesting” cooperation between the parliamentary parties and about the fact that things in the country can be now returned to normality.

For his part, Vladimir Bolea said that when Eduard Harunjen quits as Prosecutor General, the reshuffles among key functionaries will come to an end, but the institutions are not managed by one person only and more dismissals will follow. “When the chiefs of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Superior Council of Prosecutors and other institutions leave, a slight cleanup will be ensured,” he noted, adding the people demand such a cleanup.

“Until June 7, the Republic of Moldova was in complete isolation. I refer not only to the very bad relations with the Russian Federation. The relations were as bad with the European Union. We didn’t enjoy any financial support – loans or grants that are very important for Moldova’s economy,” stated Vladimir Bolea.
