Gagauz People's Assembly elects vice presidents
Demian Caraseni and Alexandr Tarnavski were elected vice presidents of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia at its meeting on Tuesday, Info-Prim Neo learned from the local news portal gagauzinfo.md.
Caraseni and Tarnavski were elected with 23 and, respectively, 24 out of 35 votes. “This clearly indicates that there is a pact between the camp headed by (People's Assembly President) Dmitri Constantinov and the one headed by Governor Mihail Formuzal. Whether this alliance is going to last or not, it remains to be seen”, said Georgi Leichu, a member of the Assembly.
At Tuesday's meeting, the Liberal-Democrat members of the Assembly formally created their group. The Communists created their group several days earlier.
