Businessman Gabriel Stati was freed from house arrest following a decision pronounced by the Centru District Court on Wednesday, Stati’s lawyer Vlad Gribincea has told Info-Prim Neo. Gabriel Stati is yet banned from leaving the country during the next 30 days, Gribincea said. The vice president of Stati Holding Aurel Marinescu was released from house arrest earlier, on the same condition. Stati and Marinescu were arrested on April 8 on suspicion they attempted to usurp the state power and financed and organized the April 7 mass disorder.
