Independent candidate Gabriel Stati started his election campaign with the slogan “Your Voice in Parliament”. The businessman said his target is the young men together with whom he wants to build a European future in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I call on the young people to fight for a better life. I pledge to be their voice in Parliament,” Gabriel Stati said in a news conference on November 1. Gabriel Stati’s electoral platform is based on three priorities: promotion of the policies that will develop the potential of the young people as builders of a European future; attraction of investments and creation of workplaces; development of the small and medium-sized business. Gabriel Stati also said that Moldova must be on friendly terms principally with such countries as Romania, Ukraine and Russia. The millionaire said that until now he dealt only with business, but the results of the referendum made him go into politics. Though he was invited to join a number of parties, he decided to run as an independent candidate, but does not exclude a coalition with the Democratic forces after the elections. Gabriel Stati, 34, heads Stati&CO SRL. He is the heir to the Ascom Group Holding. His property is assessed at several million dollars. The businessman is on the 16th position in the ballot.
