FX forecast for May 27
Most of the Moldovan currency exchange facilities that posted yesterday morning a euro exchange rate of 15.52 lei, later did not accept euros. Some of them went against the regulations of the National Bank and reduced the rate to 15.42 lei, Financial Brains director, PhD Sveatoslav Mihalache has told Info-Prim Neo.
The euro slid sharply on the world markets following the not very encouraging information about the GDP of Germany, which is the European Union’s largest economy. The sudden fall, from $1.3995 to $1.3860, simply scared those from the currency exchange facilities, Mihalache said.
EUR/MDL: Today’s rates for the euro are: 15.35 – 15.45 lei (bid) and 15.55 – 15.65 lei (ask).
USD/MDL: The US dollar will trade at 11.12 – 11.16 lei (bid) and 11.22 – 11.27 lei (ask).
