While the US dollar saw little change over the past 24 hours, the euro rose strongly on the international market, PhD Sveatoslav Mihalache, the director of the portal Financial Brains, told Info-Prim Neo. According to him, the dollar will continue to trade at the Moldovan currency exchange facilities at virtually at the same rates: 11.23 – 11.27 (bid) and 11.31 – 11.36 (ask). Yet the european currency, which rose yesterday from $1.3130 to $1.3335 and even tested the $1.3339 mark a few times, shook the nerves of the players on the currency market. According to Mihalache, attempts by bulls to clear the $1.3339 mark will be repeated today; however, if they fail the euro is likely to continue its downward trend. In Moldova the rates for the euro are forecast to be the following: 14.88 – 14.95 (bid) and 15.08 – 15.15 (ask). “Expect some surprises today”, concluded Mihalache.
