The future mayor general of Chisinau municipality will have to fight the corruption schemes at municipal level and to know how to defend the interests of the residents of the capital city in a captured state. The issue was developed in the talk show “Expertise hour” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.

Deputy head of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Mihai Popsoi said the future mayor will have to understand the corruption schemes and to then eradicate them. The problem of corruption is a fundamental one and the experience of jurist of the candidate of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase is welcome here. ”The Party “Action and Solidarity” will contribute to this effort as we also have good jurists in our team,” stated Mihai Popsoi.

Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” deputy chairman Liviu Vovc considers a person who knows how to defend citizens’ interests in a captured state is needed in the post of mayor of Chisinau. The updating of the general urban development plan is very important. “This should be a first step for stopping the illegal constructions and for not allowing persons who intend to appropriate funds to find evasion ways. Analyst Corneliu Ciurea said the illegal constructions in Chisinau municipality are one of the most serious problems that will confront the future mayor who could eventually lack the support of the Chisinau Municipal Council. The municipality needs an ardent fighter agent corruption and the system. This should be able to deal with the problems of the city and to establish communication relations with different authorities.

The mayoral runoffs in Chisinau municipality will take place on June 3.
