Future Chisinau Council will be less heterogeneous than previous

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) that is to be constituted as a result of the June 5 elections will be composed of representatives of four political organizations, by six fewer compared with the previous Council. According to the website www.alegeri.md launched by the Association for Participative Democracy ADEPT, the PCRM will have 26 councilors of 51, the PL - 17 councilors, the PLDM – seven councilors, while the PDM – only one councilor, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Communist Party won 46.11% of the vote in the municipality of Chisinau. Its candidates that entered the CMC are: MPs Igor Dodon and Zinaida Greceanyi, teacher Natalia Vysotina, pensioner Petr Dontsov, Parliament’s Apparatus employee Ion Ceban, president of the Martial Arts Confederation Vladimir Panfilov, councilor Valery Pavlov, “Moldova-Gaz” specialist Vasili Carafizi, IM “Lumteh” vice director Valeriu Tardea, “Lapte-Com” director Vitalie Sacara, professor Boris Golovin, lecturer Nicolai Pavlychev, “ArtMet” director general Victor Odobescu, “Cheba-Prim” director Valerii Diozu, deputy school head and former municipal councilor Mihail Garev. The PCRM faction will also consist of “DVC-Invest” director Nicolae Curtoglo, PCRM Central Committee referent Ludmila Savastin, Ministry of Economy adviser Gheorghe Necoara, “DGT” director Aureliu Mateuta, deputy editor-in chief Elena Straisof the PCRM’s Centru District Committee, unemployed Igor Gritsko, senior specialist at Moldova’s Water Agency Serghei Zavorotko, and “Microchirurgia ochiului” director general Ghenadie Tanurcov. If Igor Dodon and Zinaida Greceanyi renounce the seat of local councilor, they will be replaced by “Termogazservice” president Victor Gurau, and former deputy mayor of Chisinau Igor Lupulciuc. The Liberal Party earned 31.82% of the ballot. Its councilors are: mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, councilor Oleg Cernei, “Grand Lift” vice director Ion Gabura, Rascani district head Mihail Carlig, General Finance Division head Veronica Herta, “AgroMondial” director Vasile Petrea, lecturer Vasile Grama, “Transcom-M” director general Iurie Nastas, Helsinki Committee executive director and lecturer Teodor Carnat, “Ruta-Prim” director Iurie Topala, Urban Development Institute director Veaceslav Bulat, “Dansicons” and “Darsimid” director Iurie Darda, Athletics Manage director Mariana Lungu, LTPA “M.Berezovschi” director Ana Eremei, “Alcosinter-Plus” vice director Neofit Josan, “Vitamedia-com” director Igor Calin, and lecture Victor Sula. The list of substitute candidates includes “Cebacot” director Mihail Ceban, Gabriela Ciumac, and lecturer Vasile Hancu. The PLDM polled 13.99% of the vote. Its councilors are: the Government’s secretary general Victor Bodiu, former CMC chairman Ghenadie Dumanschi, Chisinau State Chancellery Office head Sergiu Palihovici, actor and filmmaker Sandu Grecu, Deputy Minister of Education Loretta Handrabura, Habitat-Moldova executive director Ghenadie Ivashchenko, and deputy mayor Mihail Furtuna. The substitute candidates include hospital director general Vasile Parasca, and “Moldinconinvest” director general Pavel Caba. The list of the PDM’s councilors is headed by the Minister of Labor Valentina Buliga. If she renounces the seat, she will be replaced by former Communist MP and former Minister of Local Public Administration Valentin Guznac.
