A Volkswagen car and a MAN truck with a tank full with gasoline collided last night near the Leușeni Customs Post. As a result of the impact, the truck skidded off the road and 26 tonnes of fuel risked leaking and causing an explosion, IPN reports.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, three teams of rescuers and firefighters travelled to the scene immediately. They worked for about seven hours there. The operation ended close to 5am, after the firemen managed to take the gasoline out of the tank and transport it to a safe place.

No one was hurt in the accident.
