The fuel prices continue to go up. The price of diesel fuel will be by 0.12 lei higher, while of gasoline COR 95 – by 0.08 lei higher. This way, a litter of diesel fuel during July 29-31 will be sold for 21.33 lei, while a liter of gasoline – for 25.41 lei, IPN reports.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation said the rise in pump prices was influenced by the significant increase in Platts quotations in the course of this month. The rise in Platts quotations for oil derivatives was of about 140-145 $/tonne.
“At the beginning of this month, the Platts quotations for diesel fuel were about 705-710 $/tonne, while now they rose to 850 $/tonne. This level was recorded the last time in March. In the case of gasoline, the quotations rose to 945 $/tonne, which is similar to the level logged in November 2022,” it is said in a press release.
The Agency reminded that the oil products market has been seriously affected by the last decisions adopted within OPEC+, especially those to reduce oil production and exports taken by Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation.
