According to Leonid Smolnitchi, spokesperson for the Petrol Importers Union, one liter of AI-95 gasoline, which retailed at 14.81 lei, is available starting Thursday afternoon for 14.06 lei. For one liter of diesel fuel, motorists will have to pay 14.90 lei instead of 15.30 lei. Costs at the pump have been pushed down by declining wholesale prices of petroleum products imported into Moldova, which fell in price at least twice from the beginning of August.
