Frosty weather on holidays

During the winter holidays, temperatures will drop low. The National Weather Service issued a yellow code alert to warn of the freezing of lakes and rivers, Info-Prim Neo reports. On New Year’s Eve, there will be between -15 degrees Celsius in Northern districts and -11 in Southern regions. On January 1 and 2, temperatures won’t rise above 0 degrees, varying between -8 and -13 at night and -5 and 0 at daytime. The Weather Service warns that ice on rivers and lakes may be thick and walking on it would be life-threatening. The coldest December was in 2002, with an average temperature of -8 degrees, while the warmest was in 1960 with an average of +5 degrees.
