A 43-year-old man was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months in jail for premeditated murder, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office. While at the Clinical Municipal Ftiziopneumology Hospital, the man came into conflict with another patient and stabbed him. The victim aged 50 died on the spot. The incident happened on April 19, on Easter Day. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court. According to statistical data, 221 murders had been committed in Moldova during January-November this year, a 6.8% increase compared with the corresponding period last year.
