Fresh fruit prices 7.2% up in March
Prices last month rose by 5.5% compared with last December. The prices of food and nonfood products in March increased by 0.9% from February, while the prices of the services provided for the population by 0.1%, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the National Bureau of Statistics.
The prices of fresh fruit last month grew by 7.2% (exotic fruit – by 13.9%, apples – by 4.6%), fresh vegetables – by 2.5% (onion – by 6.8%, cabbage – by 4.3%), vegetal oil – by 3.3%, sugar – by 2.8%, beer – by 2.1%, fish and fish products – by 1.7%.
At the same time, the prices of eggs fell by 1.2%, milk and milk products – by 0.4% (sour cream – by 1.4%, cow cheese – by 2.1%), meat and meat products – by 0.2% (beef – by 1.3%, pork – by 0.6%, mutton – by 1.1%).
The prices of medications increased by 3.0%, fuel – by 1.8% (bottled liquified petroleum gas and fuel for motor vehicles – by 1.9%), detergents – by 1.6%, tobacco products – by 1.4%
Among the services provided for the population, the prices of movie theater tickets rose by 2.7%, while the medical services and services in cafes and bars grew dearer by 1.0%.
