French Premier may visit Moldova in November
France's Ambassador to Moldova Pierre Andrieu on Friday notified Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat of the availability of French Prime Minister François Fillon to make an official visit to Chisinau in November, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a release from the Moldovan Government's press service, it was said that Andrieu also mentioned the interest of the French businessmen in the opportunities offered by Moldova. The ambassador suggested reviving the activity of the France-Moldova Business Club, set up one year ago by a group of investors, which are either already doing business in Moldova or planning to do so in the future.
For his part, Vlad Filat expressed gratitude for “the constant support offered to Moldova by France” and pleaded for “an open and sincere dialogue with the French partners”.
The Moldovan Prime Minister briefed the ambassador on the priorities of the new government and said that concrete steps will be taken in the future to create “favorable conditions for business development and for a proper investment climate”, adding that all the existing impediments will be removed.
