Moviegoers are invited to the French Film Week in Chisinau that includes the best classical French movies featuring Sophie Marceau, Pierre Richard, Sophie Loren, Gerard Depardieu and other stars. The movies will be screened at the Cultural Center “Gaudeamus” during a week, starting with December 7, the Center's manager Lidia Troianowski has told Info-Prim Neo.
By December 13, there will be presented eight movies made in 1998, 2002 and 2005. “The given movies are very popular and won prizes at different festivals,” said Lidia Troianowski.
The event will be opened by “Le bal” (“The Ball”) on December 7, starting at 18.00. At 20.00, there will be shown the movie “Le grand bleu” (“The Blue Abyss). It will be screened again on December 12, starting at 17.00.
“The movies are to everyone's taste. Among the criteria for selecting them were the message of the movie, the music, professionalism and effects,” said Lidia Troianowski.
The other movies of the French Film Week include: “Les demoiselles de Rochefort” (“The Young Ladies of Rochefort”) (December 8 and 13), Luc Besson's “La fidélité” (“Fidelity”) (December 8 and 12, “La Boom 1” (“The Boom”) (December 9), “Un homme amoureux” (“A Man in Love”) (December 10 and 11), “La Boom 2” (“The Boom 2) (December 9), “Lol” (December 10), “L’Etudiante” (“The Student”) (December 11), “Matrimonio all'italiana” (“Marriage Italian Style”) (December 13).
All the movies will be translated into Russian, except “Lol” that will be screened in the original. Tickets cost 20 lei. Entry to the movie “Lol” on December 10 will be free of charge.
The French Film Week is organized by the Cultural Center “Gaudeamus” in cooperation with the French Alliance in Moldova.
