Maxim Saculțan will compete for a bronze medal at the European Wrestling Championships in Bucharest, IPN reports.

In the 65 kg weight class, he beat Hungary’s Jozsef Molnar and France’s Ilman Mukhtarov, but in the semifinals was defeated by Haji Aliyev of Azerbaijan.

Maxim Saculțan’s opponent in the small final of this evening is not yet known.

In the 97 kg class, Nicolae Ceban will contend in playoffs. If he wins against Hungary’s Mihaly Szabo, Nicolae will meet Georgia’s Elizbar Odikadze in the match for the bronze medal.
