Free medical services for refugees. CNAM and IOM signed a new cooperation agreement

Ukrainian refugees applying for temporary protection in Moldova will have free access to pre-hospital and hospital services. The financial coverage is provided in a new partnership agreement signed today by the National Medical Insurance Company (CNAM) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission to Moldova.

Services will be provided to beneficiaries of temporary protection displaced from Ukraine, women over the age of 55 and men. The financing of expenses by the IOM through the National Medical Insurance Company takes place as part of four projects intended to provide necessary aid to Ukrainian refugees.

A previously signed agreement between the two organizations provides for the free provision of dialysis services in outpatient and inpatient conditions to Ukrainian refugees. The total estimated budget for providing emergency medical and dialysis services this year is $500,000.
