Those interested can have free medical examinations in the Health Town in “Valea Morilor” Park on October 2. This was set up on the occasion of World Heart Day. The visitors will be able to measure their blood pressure, cholesterol level, uric acid, hemoglobin, glycaemia and to have an electrocardiogram, IPN reports.

The Chisinau Public Health Center said the event is staged with the aim of informing the population about the cardiovascular risk factors.

The event includes contests and present offering. It starts at 10am.

Since 2000, on the initiative of the World Heart Federation and under the aegis of the World Health Organization, World Heart Day has been annually celebrated on September 29. This year’s theme is “Power your life”.
