Free Europe launches new editions of “Weekly journal” and “Retail reality”

Radio Free Europe launched the 11th edition of the book “Weekly Journal” and the ninth edition of the book “Retail reality” in Chisinau on February 11. The “Weekly Journal” has 52 authors who in 2015 described by a week of their life in the division produced by journalist Valentina Ursu. The “Retail reality” includes a number of stories by one author – Iulian Ciocan, IPN reports.

Valentina Ursu said that almost 800 authors stated their thoughts in the “Weekly Journal” so far. They were all invited to Valentina Ursu’s program “The weekend with Radio Free Europe”. 

The journalist said that the new book contains stories of people with different political views and different professions and it can have the slogan “Unity through diversity”. “I’m glad that these books started to be looked for. There are by two-three persons willing to write their story every week,” stated Valentina Ursu.

The “Retail reality” contains matinee stories by writer Iulian Ciocan. Director of the Radio Free Europe in Chisinau Vasile Botnaru said Iulian Ciocan does titanic work by writing these stories daily. For comparison, one of the best writers of the world Gabriel Garsia Marques wrote by 2-3 stories a week.

The two books will also be launched at local level, in Ciuciuleni and Hancesti on February 18, and in Causeni on February 25.
