The persons who want to determine the level of glucose in their blood or to be examined by an endocrinologist can do it free in all the medical institutions of Chisinau on November 14, when it is celebrated the National Diabetes Day. The persons will benefit from advice and examination even if they do not have a health policy and a relevant certificate from the family doctor, IPN reports.

Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu said medical points will be set up in all the 33 municipal medical institutions, in the district head’s offices and the hall of the Chisinau City Hal on November 14. The visitors will have their glycemia checked and will be examined by an endocrinologist, if necessary. Similar services will be available in the drugstores of Chisinau.

In Moldova there are 71,500 people suffering from sugar diabetes, 342 of whom are children.
