Moldovan apples can be freely exported to the Indian market. After this announcement, Prime Minister Dorin Recean noted that Moldova can and managed to expand the export markets for its apples, IPN reports.
"We will stand by our producers to contribute together to increasing the competitiveness of Moldovan products and ensuring a safe and predictable business environment on the new export markets," said Dorin Recean.
In order to gain access to the Indian market, within the trial delivery program, members of the Moldova Fruct Association had exported 340 tonnes of apples to India under the supervision of the National Food Safety Agency since 2023.
