The National Assembly of France ratified in the final variant the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union, after this had been ratified by the Senate. France is the 18th state that ratified this accord.

Contacted by phone by IPN, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ana Taban said during the debates French MPs said that Moldova is the most democratic country in the Eastern neighborhood of the EU and the most Francophone and Francophile state in Eastern Europe. They also said that the Association Agreement with the EU will contribute to developing Moldova and increasing the living standards of its people.
