The Moldovan Parliament in cooperation with the French Association “Les Moldoviens” and Jean Jaures Foundation, supported by the French Alliance of Moldova, will organise in premiere the France-Moldova Forum: “French-speaking world – an European way for Moldova”, on Saturday July 7. The Parliament’s press service says that the bilateral political relations between Moldova and France have developed in the last few years, with the French-Moldovan interparliamentary cooperation consisting especially of a series of mutual visits at high political level. A delegation from the Moldovan Parliament visited Paris on October 24-26, 2006. As a reply, Christian Poncelet, President of the Senate of the French Republic, paid a visit to Moldova on April 24-26, 2007. The Moldovan-French relations are also supported by society contacts, business people and cultural community from Moldova and France. France-Moldova Forum will address the French-speaking world’s role in Moldova’s European integration process and will prepare the ground for identifying the development prospects of the economic and cultural relations between the two states.
