Fourth round of talks on Association Agreement held in Chisinau

The fourth round of talks on the Association Agreement between Moldovan and the European Union is taking place in Chisinau. Moldova's delegation is headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman, while the EU's delegation – by the European Commission's Director for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia Gunnar Wiegand, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, the parties will take stock of the results achieved in the negotiations between experts held through videoconferences and set the objectives for the next period. The officials will discuss the present situation and the steps that must be taken to open the talks on the creation of a deep and comprehensive free trade area between Moldova and the EU and on launching the EU's Comprehensive Institutional Strengthening Program. In a news conference earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca announced that in October Moldova is to receive the roadmap for liberalizing the visa-regime with the EU.
