Fourth round of 5+2 talks to be held Sept.13
The fourth round of formal negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement in the 5+2 format will take place in Vienna on September 13, announced Prime Minister Vlad Filat at a show on Pro TV Chisinau.
Vlad Filat also revealed that the Transnistrian settlement will be discussed in Moscow as well, during his visit next week. “We will discuss this issue; however, there is nothing new we can propose. Moldova's position remains very clear in this regard”, he stated.
Concerning the next round of negotiations, the Prime Minister said that it would be an occasion to reiterate positions. “We have a good relationship, we converse regularly on the phone. And we achieved some progress. I think that only through communication and trust can problems be resolved. The Transnistrian problem is very complex and without a permanent dialogue you can't move forward”, said Vlad Filat, referring to the relationship with Tiraspol leader Yevgeny Shevchuk .
The last round of negotiations was held in July.
