The national testing in primary education for the examination session was annulled, as was the organization and holding of secondary school graduation exams. A decision to this effect was taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations on April 17, IPN reports.
This way, the fourth and ninth graders will not take primary stage and secondary stage graduation exams this year.
Minister of Education Igor Sharov earlier said the annulment of the national testing for fourth graders will not cause difficulties in the completion of the primary stage. As regards the students who are to complete the ninth grade, these will be issued with certificates based on the grades obtained during the years of study. The grades in the exam disciplines will be the average grade of the annual average grades got by students in the seventh-ninth grades. Based on these certificates, the students could take part in admission to theoretical lyceums and vocational schools.
