Four women will stand trail for procuring and trafficking in children. The Prosecutor General’s Office said that in 2013-2014, the women aged between 22 and 73 recruited and convinced four girls, one of whom a minor, to prostitute themselves, IPN reports.
According to prosecutors, the women recruited victims from socially deprived families and persuaded them to work as prostitutes in a house in Chisinau. During a year, they collected the money earned by the four girls for providing sex for money.
Earlier, the given house, which is situated in Buiucani district of Chisinau, appeared in cases concerning the criminal group led by Alexandru Covali, alias Salun. The owners managed to get back the sequestrated property. Now that new cases of trafficking in children and procuring were identified, the prosecutors repeatedly sequestered the house and will demand confiscating it for the benefit of the state.
