The Transnistrian paramilitary forces restricted the access of four police officers working at the Bender Police Commissariat to Bender. The media reported that the policemen were arrested in Varnita. Contacted by IPN, the deputy mayor of Varnita Veaceslav Zanoci denied these reports.

According to the deputy mayor, one of the police officers had been in conflict with the Transnistrian administration, but the colleagues who accompanied him weren’t allowed to pass either.

Veaceslav Zanoci does not believe that this case is somehow related to the latest events in the Transnistrian region.
