Four persons killed in car accident

Four persons, including two Russian nationals, died in a serious road accident caused by the driver of a minibus, Traffic Police Division PR specialist Paulina Yakimovski, has told Info-Prim Neo. The accident happened on the Chisinau – Hancesti – Cimislia road on Saturday evening. A Volkswagen-Transporter minibus driven by a 35-year-old man without a license went out of control, made a U-turn and collided head-on with a Nissan-Premera car driven by a man aged 24 from Cimislia. The driver of the Nissan and two passengers – a man aged 35 and his wife aged 39 living in the Russian region of Yaroslavl - and a 23-year-old occupant of the minibus died on the spot. The driver of the minibus and another two passengers were rushed to the hospital in Cimislia town. A Mercedes minibus running on the Chisinau-Criuleni route Sunday struck a seven-year-old girl who was legally crossing the street in Oniscani village. The girl suffered severe traumas and was admitted to the reanimatology section of the hospital in Criuleni. A woman aged 40 and her 18-year-old son suffered different injuries when two VAZ cars collided in Hancesti town. Four persons were killed and 36 injured in 23 accidents that occurred on the national roads over the weekend.
