Four persons hurt in road accident
Four persons have been injured in a serious road accident on Grenoble St in Chisinau this morning, at about 7.30, Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Emergency Hospital, has told Info-Prim Neo.
A Mercedes minibus running on route No. 193 took a sharp bend to avoid a pedestrian and crashed into a VAZ car.
As a result of the impact, a 69-year-old female passenger of the minibus suffered a cranial cerebral trauma and fractures of the forearm bones, knee and nasal bones. A woman aged 24, who was also traveling in the minibus, sustained a cranial-cerebral trauma and a cut on the upper lip.
The 26-year-old driver of the VAZ received an open fracture of forearm bones and cuts on the ears, while his passenger of the same age – a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion.
In an hour, a woman aged 32 was struck by a 1447 taxicab on Forilor St. She suffered traumas of the back and possibly fractures of the pelvic bones.
Ten persons sought Sunday medical assistance while at the wine festival held at Moldexpo, where there were two ambulances on duty. Most of the patients complained of arterial hypertension.
On the same day at about 21.00, an inebriated 51-year-old woman called the ambulance. She had a stab wound in the abdomen. She told the doctors she stabbed herself as a result of a moment’s inattention.
The Chisinau Emergency Hospital on Sunday dealt with 695 calls.
