Three of the six persons detained on October 19 as a result of searches carried out by anticorruption officers at the Chisinau City Hall will spend the next 30 days under house arrest. Another person will be held in the remand prison of the National Anticorruption Center for 20 days, while two persons were set free. 

The Center’s press officer Angela Starinski has told IPN that the deputy head of the General Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations Division and two intermediaries were placed under house arrest. A specialist of the City Hall is held on remand.

Twenty five persons were escorted to the National Anticorruption Center for questioning in a case concerning acts of corruption on October 19. The arrested persons are suspected of illegally issuing different authorizations and certificates for performing building works.
