Four persons, three of them young, drowned last weekend in different waters in the country. Liliana Puscasu, spokesperson for the Civil Protection Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that on Saturday evening at around 21:00 a 19-year-old man drowned in a pond at Rose Valley Park in Chisinau. A couple of hours later the body was retrieved by divers. A Chisinau young man, 18, lost his life in an Orhei pond while on a picnic with peers. Another young man, 24, drowned the same day in a pond in Chetrosu village. The body was pulled out by witnesses. Out of 50 persons that drowned this year, 41 lost their lives this summer. While heavily drunk, a fisherman, 34, drowned Sunday in Tarnova village's pond. Liliana Puscasu said fire crops were also frequent over the past weekend. In two cases the overheated parts of wheat harvesters are to blame for the fires.
