Four more medals for Moldovan junior weightlifters

Moldova's Anatol Ciricu won two gold medals and a bronze one in the 94kg category on the final day of the European U-23 and Junior Weightlifting Championships, which took place in Cyprus, Info-Prim Neo reports. Ciricu's gold medals are for clean&jerk and for the combined result, and the bronze is for snatch. Ciricu lifted a combined 379 kg, the same as Ukraine's Artiom Ivanov, however the gold was awarded to Ciricu who is 400 grams lighter. In the same weight category, but in the junior section, Moldova's Adrian Zbirnea also won a bronze medal at snatch, with a result of 161 kg, lifting a combined 346 kg, which ranked him 6th. Earlier, Alexandru Spac and Sergiu Cechir won a total of 5 medals for Moldova, 3 silvers and 2 bronzes. Overall, the Moldovan weightlifting team won at these European Championships 9 medals, including 2 golds.
