Four Moldovan children repatriated from Ukraine
Four children, citizens of the Republic of Moldova left without parental care in Ukraine, were repatriated later last week, Info-Prim Neo reports as informed by the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child (SPFCM.)
The minors, identified in a temporary lodging in Odessa, are from 7 to 16 years old. The two boys and two girls come from different Moldovan districts, including from the Transnistrian region. One child was accompanied by his mother, who remained without existence means in Ukraine.
On their return, the children were lodged at the Temporary Minors Centre of the Interior Ministry and at a Children Invigorating Centre, and later they are to be integrated into extended families.
The repatriation has been organised by the SPFCM, in cooperation with the Moldovan Consulate in Odessa and the International Migration Organisation. This is the second mission accomplished by the Ministry this year. On February the 19th, five children were repatriated from the Russian Federation.
In 2007, the SPFCM organised 5 missions of repatriating Moldovan children from Russia and Ukraine, resulting in turning back 14 children citizens of Moldova. Other five minors, aged from two months to 14 years, were repatriated on February 19 from Russia.
