President Nicolae Timofti signed decrees appointing four candidates proposed by the Supreme Council of Magistrates as judges at courts of law of Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, Ludmila Ursu will work as judge at the Rascani Court, Luiza Gafton – as president of the Botanica Court, Angela Braga – as judge at the Botanica Court, while Radu Turcanu – as vice president at the Botanica Court.

The head of state had discussions with each of the four candidates. He underlined the importance of restoring people’s confidence in justice and said that only the judges with high moral standards and remarkable professional qualities will be confirmed in posts or promoted while the justice sector reform will be implemented.
