Four injured in traffic accidents involving minibuses
Four persons suffered various bodily injuries in traffic accidents that occurred on Monday on Chisinau roads and involved passenger minibuses.
Ludmila Untura, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Emergency Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the first accident occurred in the morning, when a 20-year-old woman was struck by a minibus near the Holy Trinity Hospital. The victim suffered critically serious injuries and was rushed to the Emergency Hospital, being admitted to intensive care.
At around 9:00, a Mercedes route minibus collided with a BMW car at the crossing of Vlaicu Parcalab and Kogalniceanu streets. The minibus driver sprained his left shoulder, while a female passenger on the minibus suffered closed fracture of the right shoulder bones.
A minibus on route 155 impacted with a Toyota car in the intersection of the streets Bernardazzi and Eminescu. A male passenger traveling in the share taxi suffered brain concussion.
A 9-year-old boy was badly injured after being struck by a Volkswagen at the intersection of Decebal Blvd. and Zelinski Str. The child was admitted to Valentin Ignatenco Hospital with multiple traumas, ranging from broken ribs to head trauma.
On April 21, the Chisinau Emergency Service responded to 832 calls, including 83 cases of trauma, 63 cases of acute viral diseases, 6 brain strokes, and 29 mumps reports.
