Four injured in Sunday road accidents

Four persons, including a minor, required medical assistance after being injured in road accidents that took place on Sunday, 10 February, on Chisinau streets. Ion Roscovanu, Road Safety Inspector of the Chisinau Traffic Police, told Info-Prim Neo that the first accident occurred at about 2 PM on Traian Blvd. A VAZ-2107 vehicle, driven by a 23-year-old man, native of Anenii-Noi district, hit an eighth-grader of the lyceum “Liviu Rebreanu”. The girl suffered soft tissue injury of the left leg. At about 7 PM, a Nissan vehicle, driven by a 61-year-old man, native of Tohatin suburban village, collided with a Lifan minibus of route 160, on Ion Creanga Street. One of the passengers of the minibus suffered a brain concussion. On 1 Stephan the Great Blvd. a Smart vehicle, driven by a 25-year-old woman from Sangerei, hit a pedestrian, 18, native of Criuleni district. The young man was admitted to hospital with brain concussion. A Daewoo-Nexia car, taxi 1448, hit at about 11 PM a 55-year-old woman, who suffered brain concussion. 11 road accidents that resulted in no victims were registered on Sunday, 10 February. 12 drivers were fined for drunk-driving and 72 drivers for speeding.
