A young man and three children suffered injuries in three traffic accidents that occurred on Monday, May 5, on Chisinau's roads. Road Safety Inspector of the Chisinau Traffic Police Ion Roscovanu has told Info-Prim Neo that the first accident involved an Orhei-tagged Mercedes car, which struck a 6-year-old on Trandafirilor Street. The boy was transported to Valentin Ignatenco Hospital with fractures of the right shank. A Malguti motor scooter with two aboard overturned on Hipodromului Street. The 27-year-old male driver broke his right clavicle, while his passenger, a girl aged 6, ended up with injuries of the left shank's soft tissues. A seventh grader, 14, was struck by a Moskvich car, driven by a 41-year-old man, while the boy was riding his bicycle on Dimo Street. The teenager suffered multiple facial wounds. On May 5, other 8 minor accidents were also recorded. Traffic officers fined 84 persons, including 13 for drink driving and 31 for speeding.
