Four men were poisoned to death by exhausts from a motor pump that was used to clean the shaft of a well in Cotiujenii Mici village, Singerei district, the Emergencies Service reported. The tragedy occurred on Sunday evening. It all started when a man who was down in the 20 meters deep shaft was not responding, and this prompted his three colleagues on the surface to descend as well. However, the rescue mission proved to be suicidal. Two bodies were recovered with the villagers' own efforts and a rescue crew was sent to recover the remaining two.
