Four of the nine candidates for the post of governor of the National Bank of Moldova were interviewed by members of the special commission for selecting candidates. The commission’s head Stefan Creanga said that those who were interviewed deserve to be nominated for this post. The other five candidates are to be interviewed today, March 2, IPN reports.
Stefan Creanga said there were interviewed Roman Chernysehv, Serhei Melnik, Gheorghe Dimitrov, and Sergiu Iachim. “The commission managed to formulate the questions. Each candidate was able to present their own view of the functioning of the banking system, the monetary policies, etc. The discussions also focused on macro- and mico-economic policies and political affiliation. The answers met our expectations,” stated the MP.
Vadim Branzan, Sergiu Cioclea, Valeriu Chitan, Victor Timotin and Vladimir Munteanu will be interviewed on March 2. The final result will be announced at 3pm today.
