The local authorities of Chisinau launched the works to fully reconstruct the fountain situated in the Park “Valea Trandafirilor” in Botanica district. The municipality said that after this is rehabilitated, the fountain will become pedestrian. The people could walk and amuse themselves through the jets of water synchronized with music and decorative lighting, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, the project to rehabilitate the fountain includes the installation of nocturnal illumination and urban furniture, reconstruction of the adjoining green areas and territory, renovation of the access ways to the fountain and building of special infrastructure for baby carriages and persons in wheelchairs.

Currently, the old fountain is being dismantled. Later, the builders will perform fortification works and works to lay the foundations of the new artesian well. The reconstruction works will last for almost four months. A sum of 3.6 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for the purpose.
