Formuzal makes harsh accusations against PDM

The Bashkan of Gagauzia Mihail Formuzal accuses the Democratic Party (PDM) of attempt to remove the legally elected administration of the region. He made such accusations after a group people came to the June 3 meeting of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia and attacked the Bashkan and the Assembly’s chairman Dmitry Constantinov, demanding that the latter should resign, IPN reports.

In the message published on the official website of the Gagauz administration, the Bashkan says that the PDM is a criminal party. Mihail Formuzal expresses his indignation at the fact that the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of the Interior do not react to the actions of those who attempted a ‘coup’. Moreover, this inaction points to an agreement to dismiss the administration of Gagauzia.

Mihail Formuzal says the Democratic Party uses such methods of bribery, threatening and blackmail in order to gain more power. The only response to such actions should be the union of society, which on November 30, when the parliamentary elections will take place, should not support the parties of the government coalition.
