The second round of voting for the Governor of Gagauzia will take place in the Autonomous Territorial Unit on December 26. The race involves incumbent Governor Mihail Formuzal and Mayor of Comrat Nicolai Dudoglo, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the first round held on December 12, Mihail Formuzal polled 37.19% of the votes, while Nicolai Dudoglo – 31.84%. For the second round of voting to be validated, the turnout should be at least one third of voters. The elections will be won by the candidate who will gain most of the votes. On December 12, Communist candidate for Governor of Gagauzia Irina Vlah won 30.6% of the vote and was eliminated from the race.
