Boris Cebotari started his career at Zimbru in 1992, where he played 6 years before moving to Tiligul Tiraspol. There, he managed only 5 games and then returned to Zimbru. In 2000, he left for FC Agro Chisinau. He played 17 games for his new side and once again returned to his boyhood club Zimbru, where he spent 4 more years.
