A former prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office of Ocnita district, accused of committing forgery of public documents, was convicted for cumulation of offences and fined 70 thousand lei. The sentence was rendered by Edinet Court, Ocnita headquarters, IPN reports.

Prosecutor General's Office states in a press release that the former prosecutor was deprived of the right to hold public office for a term of seven years. Also, the court ordered him to pay court fees in the amount of 5460 lei.

The former prosecutor was found guilty of signing documents on behalf of the accused and his lawyers, after which he submitted the criminal cases to the court.
