Former presidential advisor reported as missing
President Vladimir Voronin's former advisor, Sergiu Mocanu, the leader of a movement called “The People's Movement”, was held up at about 10.30 a.m. On the Great National Assembly Square by a group of people in civil clothing, who introduced themselves as police. According to her, the unidentified people made Sergiu Mocanu get into a car as he was in the Square accompanied by his spokesman Vasile Chitoroaga. The latter was immobilized on the ground and failed to see the car Mocanu was taken by.
“Sergiu Mocanu's phone is off. We suppose he was taken to the police. He has the right to a phone call during three hours,” Daniela Bodrug specified.
Bodrug says Mocanu's lawyer Ion Dron is seeking him, but the lawyer is neither to be found at present.
