Former MoldAtsa director Sorin Stati says that the current Court of Audits vice-president, Viorel Chetraru, lied when he stated that he did not know him. Sorin Stati attached a screenshot of a message exchange had with Viorel Chetraru.

"Viorel Chetraru lied that we did not know each other, as he lied before the Parliament when he was talking about the Kroll beletristica related to the theft of the billion" said Sorin Stati.

From the screenshot presented by Sorin Stati, it appears that on September 17, 2014, he asked for an audience with Viorel Chetraru, then CNA director, and Chetraru confirmed.

"I want to point out that I did not call the secretariat or some other CNA service, I contacted him directly, as I always did" said Sorin Stati.

Contacted by IPN earlier, Viorel Chetraru said that he didn’t even know Sorin Stati. Viorel Chetraru dismissed as “nonsense” Sorin Stati's allegations that Chetraru had pressured him into transferring the MoldAtsa accounts to Unibank, a financial institution involved in the bank fraud.
