Ex-Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija was named Deputy Secretary General of the Government. A decision to this effect was approved by the Cabinet on Wednesday, IPN reports.
“Missis Dabija is a master of law. She has 18 years’ experience of work in the central public administration and she held senior administrative posts at different central public authorities. She also worked for various foreign assistance projects implemented by the World Bank, GIZ, USAID, UNDP, where she provided legal assistance in the process of implementing reforms in the central public administration and policy documents regulating entrepreneurial activity and state control,” said Secretary General of the Government Artur Mija.
Currently, Lilia Dabija works as an expert within the European Union High-Level Advisers’ Mission to the Republic of Moldova. The position of Deputy Secretary General of the Government will be taken up on January 9, 2024.
Lilia Dabija served as Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development since February 2023, succeeding Andrei Spînu. In mid-July this year, Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced that three ministers, including Lilia Dabija, tendered their resignations, without specifying the reasons. Andrei Spînu returned to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development as minister.
